The above lyrics is an excerpt of the verses of Fee's "Beautiful The Blood". It's a song filled with oxymorons yet Truth at the same time. With the Lenten season about to wrap up, and Good Friday and Easter Sunday right around the corner, I thought it'd be the perfect occasion to share the tune.
Whenever I think about the effects of the sacred blood of that the crucified Christ Jesus has shed for mankind - how it cleanses and purifies our soul and redeems us from sin, drawing us close to the heart of the Father - I can't help but think it's beautiful it all truly is.
I hope that this Lenten and Easter season have been a blessing to all, and I hope that this song helps add to the wonder to the greatest moment in human history.

The type of sound in tunes I've become a huge fan of has slowly changed since Hillsong United's "Lead Me To The Cross" was recommended during the latter part of this past December (200712). This track sounds a bit different from my traditional favorites in terms of energy level, instrumentals, etc., but the lyrics have made it my fsotm for about a week now (and counting). It expresses among the deepest of desires, longings, wants, and yearnings of the core of my being and essence accurately. Whenever I hear the song, among the first thoughts that come to mind is: "This is what I'm made for" and "Our awesome God is always faithful."
This track's led me back to the place I've been countless times before: where I'm desperately seeking the face of God as he's become my, as Steven Curtis Chapman phrased, greatest obsession. I won't be surprised if this becomes one of my anthem songs throughout this lifetime.
God's answered me every time I've called, and has come to rescue me when I've been need of. He's been faithful to his promises with me. And because of that faithfulness he's displayed and the unconditional love he continues to reveal, he's becoming more of the love of my life, object of my heart, the pursuit of my being with each passing moment.
