Artist: MercyMe
Album: Undone
Track: Homesick
MercyMe's "Homesick" was an fsotm a while ago, and was a theme song of my life when my grandmother on my dad's side passed away in March of last year. Losing her was the first hit I took in terms of losing someone close to me to the other side. I remember thinking I was 'lucky' and 'protected' in elementary school when I'd hear about kids in my class losing someone dearly close to them. I can't help but think that heaven was looking out for me, helping me get ready to deal with such loss when it was my turn. I miss her much and I wish I spent more time with her, etc., but I'm thankful that God called her home when he did - otherwise, I'd have been in more of a huge wreck!
I'm still not over the loss as I love and miss my grandma much more than I can ever express, but the tune's lyrics have comforted me much.
Like Watermark's Glory Baby, the tune's lyrics are beautiful and does a wondrous job at taking a tragic event and weaving words into a song that tries to comfort one's heart and soul.
I hope and pray that this song does the same for those that may have lost a dearly beloved.

Artist: Watermark
Album: A Grateful People
Track: Glory Baby
"Glory Baby" was an fsotm a few months ago, and what amazing lyrics it has! Before I heard it, I wasn't sure if it was possible to turn such a tragic loss like a miscarriage, and weave words together into a message / song that hopes for a brighter future. It truly is a moving song.
I hope this track serves as a comfort to those that have experienced the loss directly, and as a gift for those that know people that's been affected by such grief.
